A series released almost a year ago...(man am I so left behind) Monster Allergy rocks....for me probably cause it was drawn by no other than the great Alessandro Barbucci whose popular works include Skydoll and W.i.t.c.h. Trully my kind of artist who style is a unique of blend of disney and a pinch of manga. You guys have probably heard of this already... My first impression when I saw the cover was Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited away probably because of that big catlike thingy.The story seem to revolve around 2 nosy fifthgraders, one who is a tomboy and the other who appears to b a younger version of 2D from the band Gorillaz, armed only with an inhaler, able to see monsters and ghost and practically allergic to just about everything even doughnuts covered in vanilla icing. ( did I say those right ?) it's pretty cool....story is pretty funny and amusing...... |
