...unless there's dialogue missing that explains her expression, I don't really think of Blossom as capable of being tearfully frightened. I picture her snarking right back at him, even if his suit managed to give him the upper hand.
Are her sisters going to make an appearance? I'd think Buttercup would be in battle mode just from hearing the 'sleepover' excuse...they'd have to tell her the truth to get her to hit the target that deserves it.
Very nicely drawn. I love their forms and the expression on Blossom's face. I have to agree that, as cool as it has been rendered, Mandark's style of mechanics is a bit more organic than Dexters. Yet perhaps now that he has gone crazy with darkness he has really become a colder, more mechanical creator.
Only possible critique that I could give on such an awesome piece is that Mandarks' technology has it's own very distinctive look to it. While Dexters' inventions tend to be high tech and robotic looking, Mandark has tended to follow a more twisted organic style. Perhaps due to his hippy up bringing. His inventions tend to have more spikes and horns, like a malevolent living technological creature growing more and more perverse with each new iteration. His style just seems more "nature and technology gone horribly horribly wrong".
If I were to make a hypothetical suggestion, try this (assuming you're working with Photoshop): When you get your outline cleaned and ready, set the layer to "multiply" style, and duplicate the layer a few times. The light lines will become darker as they stack. Then flatten it all together. I do something similiar to this when I color (I have one outline layer, duplicate it, and color in the lines of the undermost layer--that way, the color fill doesn't affect the lines much), though I haven't actually done it with a pencil sketch yet. Try it and see if it works. ^_^
(Arg, everyone always steals what I'm going to say XD)
Kyaaah?!?!Mandark looks pretty crazy... I love all the evilish detials on him, and his face.. *shudder*
About Blossom, it's frightening to see someone so strong being so beat-up looking.
I wuv your sketches for some reason. ::steals the corner chibis:: Muahahaha.
